About Stegen Searches
My name is Becky Stegen, and Stegen Searches is my company. I am a professional genealogist who has more than 20 years of many types of family research. I have done most of my research in Scandinavian and genetic genealogy, but I love digging into all areas of genealogy. I currently live in Arkansas, although I have lived and done research in Minnesota, Michigan, and Texas. I have a passion for history, cultural dynamics and connecting families. It's a blessing to wake up every day to help people find answers to the questions about their ancestors.
What I Do
I am here to help you find what you are looking for on your family tree. Are you at the bottom looking up through bare branches, just wondering where to start? Or, do you already have a good start, and just need a little help? Are you looking for living relatives? Want a DNA test, or need help understanding your results? Whatever the situation, I will find answers to your questions.
Everything I do starts with research. I will travel to big cities and small towns. I will search online databases, libraries, court houses, genealogical societies, nooks and crannies of old attics; wherever I need to go to find your answers. I am very experienced at analyzing historical documents of all kinds, conducting interviews, and asking all the right questions. How much research I do and what kind, is up to you. We can subdivide and conquer to come to a cost-effective plan, finding just the right thing to answer your questions. We can also open up your search to find and bring generations of your family, and the world around them, to life.
